I remeber as a kid playing in the sandbox with Tonka Trucks. My favorite was the Tonka Dump Truck. If my memory serves me correctly I believe it was yellow although it could have been green (Yes your right its been a long time ago). I have done some searching trying to find that 70’s era Tonka Dump Truck.

I recieved an email the other day concerning a world war II diecast airplane that this fellow is in possession of. He had received it from his grandfather and would like to know what he has and its worth. I did a little research on the airplane with no luck, so if anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated. Here is his email:

I’m in possession of an airplane my grandfather brought back from the war,it is definitely of Italian origin.I would like any info you can give me concerning it…It’s in a silk lined box with a balsa label which reads:A.V.I.A. Anonima Vercellese Industrie Aeronautiche, Vercelli.Also some smaller writing on the bottom with an address&phone number.I’m interested in selling the plane but want to know about it & what I have first….Thanks
